Message I thought now that my story is over that I would make a post for people to read for when UltimateZ is entered in the search. I have mentioned some of my issues with them before but never fully explained the whole story.

Let me begin my story with the reason I took I decided to have work done by UZ in the first place. I had just finished up my Twin Turbo swap for the most part and almost immediately I found out the driver's side exhaust cam had seized shredding the timing belt. Well, I had planned on rebuilding the motor and upgrading turbos and all of the basics anyways so this didn't upset me that much. I took the motor to UZ the first week of July, 2006. I wanted JE forged pistons installed, everything balances, the heads rebuilt back to stock specifications, etc. They informed me that the motor should be done in 3 weeks and that they would call me when it was done so I could bring the car up to have them install it. This is one it all began...I received the run around week after week, phone call after phone call for months. Finally, after hounding Chris at UZ for 6 months he said the motor was done and that he was ready for the body. At this time we had agreed that I would be getting a huge discount on labor and he threw in Wiseco Pistons for my wait which he blames on the machine shop. I have reason to believe that the motor never even made it to the machine shop for the first several months but that is all here-say.

So...now, UZ has the car and the motor and was told it should only take a couple of weeks to have it installed. Once again, phone call after phone call of the run around for why it was taking so long. At this time, I had been injured at work and was unable to collect a paycheck which lead to me selling the turbos and fuel injector kit along with other miscellaneous parts keeping all the necessary ones to get the car running. So, finally I here from Chris that the motor was in the car but it had a slight knock so the motor was being taken back out and looked at again. Skip the next couple of months because I am sure you guys get the drift of what is going on by now.

I finally call Chris and he says the car is done and ready to be picked up. I hurry up and go pick the car up before going on vacation, the car is smoking a little bit, Chris and I both believe that the turbos are blown, which didn't seem like such a bad thought beings I bought them used. So, I proceed to drive the car about every other weekend all while the smoking is getting worse and worse which I expected beings the turbo/s were blown. I put about 300 miles on the car before I decide to park it until I can sell it or replace the turbos. Well I sold it. Now, to briefly sum up my experience with UZ up to this point. It took them 6 months to build the motor and another 6 months to put the motor in the car. 1 year for a motor build and install...no custom parts, no ordering of parts as I brought every part to them.

Well, now that I finally have a time to start looking over the car I do so. I noticed a few parts missing that I brought to them brand new, they were cheap so I didn't too much worry about it and did not want to deal with Chris again as I knew it would be nothing but an uphill battle that I was tired of fighting. I sold the car about a month ago to a nice guy in Chicago that already has brand new turbos to put on it, I guess this is him and his brother's 3rd or 4th Z32 so they know their way around it.

The new owner contacts me today to tell me about what was going on as I told him to stay in touch. He finally got around to stripping the car and to his disbelief he couldn't even comprehend the disgraceful work that was done to the car. Not only that but he had a list of the parts that I said were on the car and he noticed some were not there. The biggest issue being that UZ, when installing the BOVs never installed a vacuum hose on the passenger side BOV and just put a plug over the top of it. This BOV was never releasing and causing incomprehensible damage to the passenger side turbo. The passenger turbo had at least 1 full centimeter of shaft play while the driver's side turbo was like brand new. One thinks he or she is getting professional work done on their car and they get a plug put on the vacuum port of the BOV. Next thing, on the first piece of metal boost piping that connects right off of the compressor side of the turbo only had 1 bolt attached to it and was simply dumping massive amounts of boost out of the crack. The 1 piece Z1motorsports drive shaft that I brought to them with the car was not there, instead was a stock unit. The couple of things that I noticed missing, the brand new OEM Twin Turbo radiator shroud that I brought to them was never installed and never given back to me. The Cruise Control unit wasn't reinstalled and was not given back to me.

Well, now I am in the middle of speaking to a lawyer to see what I can do and how far I can take this but as of right now I am writing up a nice little letter explaining everything all in one shot that hopefully Chris actually reads.

I am sorry about the long post and the unprofessionalism of this post, but I figured it is definitely something that anybody who visits this site should know about even though there are many other posts/threads about UZ and their dodgy business conduct.

Please, if anybody has any suggestions or ideas please tell me. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but we all know how that goes. Maybe if I were to gather a petition and have everyone sign it and send it to the BBB, they will actually open an investigation against them?

Thanks for reading and even though I have moved on from the car and I do not own it anymore, UZ's lack of proper business etiquette and horrible work has lead to me losing thousands of dollars and over a year of frustration. I honestly would have never sold the car if the turbo was not blown and it was blown because of crappy work and a horrible idea from a "shop" who claims to specialize in Z cars.
